I'm a creative coder, digital artist & sound designer based in the UK. I have a passion for combining technologies to create new and engaging experiences.
Here is a selection of my recent work:
Nick Sutton & Scott Darby : PRELUDE 8 from PRELUDES RENDERS
I created this animation in collaboration with Sound Designer Nick Sutton. The movement is derived from the FFT analysis of the sound data.
Tools used: Houdini & Octane Render
An ongoing exploration into creating art and sound with blockchain data for IOHK.
Symphony 2.0 - Large Transactions
An excerpt from the WebGL build of Symphony 2.0. This shows an area of the bitcoin blockchain with lots of large transactions.
Symphony 2.0 - Transaction Lookup
An excerpt from the WebGL build of Symphony 2.0 showing an individual transaction being located in the blockchain by it's hash.
Symphony 2.0 - Merkle Tree View
A clip from the WebGL build of Symphony 2.0 showing a block's Merkle Tree.
LOST EMERALD CITY
Created in Houdini and rendered with Octane. This piece is based on models of art deco buildings from KitBash 3d. I split the surfaces of the buildings with a voronoi fracture and procedurally extruded crystal structures on them.
This piece combines organic curved spiral structures extruded from a mathematically regular Cuboctahedron. Created with Houdini and Octane.
An experiment with scattering cubes on the surface of a 3d scan. The distribution of the cubes uses a space filling algorithm of closest packing of spheres to mimic structures found in nature. Created with Houdini and Octane Render.
Created in Houdini, the movement of the rods is controlled by sound and the animation then in turn outputs midi data to create sound.
Experiments with turbulent noise flowing around a bravais lattice.
Project exploring the relationship between geometric order and complex structures
IOHK Orpheus Concepts
A series of concept designs for a blockchain data visualisation project for IOHK. Created for Kuva
An interactive audio visualisation created in WebGL for Digital Design Days festival in Milan.
